Natasha, 38, and her son Misha, 10, fled from Kyiv to Lviv in western Ukraine where they have been staying in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Natasha’s husband is still in the Ukrainian capital. They have no relatives or friends abroad but hope to reach Poland or Germany. ; Since 24 February, an estimated 4.5 million people have been forcibly displaced by the crisis in Ukraine. These include 2.5 million refugees who have fled to other countries and almost 2 million people internally displaced. Actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Support Displaced Families

Just a few days into the war in Ukraine, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announced on their social media platforms their commitment to matching donations up to $1 million. In less than 48 hours, the match was met to provide lifesaving aid, protection and hope for displaced families from Ukraine.

“The outpouring of compassion for displaced people from Ukraine has been incredible. We’re proud to support USA for UNHCR and its work to provide emergency supplies, lifesaving care and hope – but we’re even more proud of the generous community of supporters that joined us.
