Supporting Refugee Leaders in the U.S.

Refugee Congress is a national nonpartisan organization built and led by former refugees and asylum-seekers to promote the well-being and dignity of all vulnerable people. With members in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Refugee Congress elevates refugee voices and those with lived experience to inform and influence decision-makers on critical issues that affect forcibly displaced communities.

USA for UNHCR recognizes the importance of supporting refugee-led organizations in the United States to ensure refugee voices are driving important, impactful change. In 2022, support for Refugee Congress helped the organization become stronger and more adaptable as it continued to grow its community of refugee leaders and bolster its communication and advocacy efforts around the U.S.
